Duet, “Zweig’ und Aeste zollen dir,” from Cantata 205
Originally for two unison flutes, alto and tenor voices, and continuo, in G major, transposed here to Bb. This duet is the 13th number in the cantata. Recorder part mostly follows flute part, but occasionally uses material from one of the singers, in an attempt, with limited resources, to bring in as much of the most important material in the original as possible. Title means, “Twigs and branches contribute to your feast the abundance of their gifts.” and involves the two characters Pomona and Zephyrus.
Keyboard parts include separate recorder parts at no additional cost.
